    Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill this position that has risen at the Women’s University in Africa.

    The Graduate Trainee will report to the ICT Administrator, Educational Technologies

    RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY TASKS

    Systems Administration and maintenance

    • LMS related platforms administration and maintenance;
    • Testing and evaluating new features and tools and integrate within the teaching and learning environment;
    • Documenting systems/platforms configurations; and
    • Implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure continued systems availability.

    Systems Development

    • Developing/implementing course tools within the LMS;
    • Developing web and mobile applications; and
    • Systems integration using web services among other approached.

    Staff and student support

    • Directing end-user help desk support for students, lecturers and administrative staff;
    • Supporting users with mobile Apps for education and other academic online systems;
    • Providing technical support in multimedia content development and university events;
    • Updating online training courses, support tips, tutorials and documentation for systems;
    • Utilizing an online Help Desk ticker support system to track user queries;
    • Assisting with training of students related to digital tools and practices; and
    • Staying with emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

    Qualifications

    • Recently acquired Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/System or any related field; and
    • Professional qualifications are an added advantage.
