    Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill this position which has arisen at the Women’s University in Africa.

    Department:  Works and Estates Development Department

    Location:        Women’s University in Africa Harare Campus

    Duration:       Full-time

    The Administrative Assistant will report to the Director, Works and Estates Development.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Providing comprehensive administrative support including managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments;
    • Maintaining an organised filing system and ensuring easy access and retrieval of relevant departmental documents;
    • Preparing for meetings and recording departmental meetings’ proceedings;
    • Handling incoming queries, requests and correspondences promptly and professionally;
    • Following-up on action items and deadlines to ensure their timely completion;
    • Preparing reports, presentations and documents using Microsoft Office Application packages including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word;
    • Assisting in the preparation and review of departmental policies, procedures and guidelines;
    • Proof reading and editing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to established standards;
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders that include staff, faculty, students, contractors, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration;
    • Assisting in maintaining strong relationships with relevant internal departments and external stakeholders; and
    • Inputting data into relevant systems or databases as required, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality is maintained.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Administration/ Office Management/ Business Management from a recognised institution
    • Holder of a valid clean class Four (4) driver’s license;
    • A minimum of five (5) Ordinary level passes including English Language; and
    • At least one (1) year experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant in a reputable organisation.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application Packages;
    • Strong organisational and time management skills;
    • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information;
    • Excellent in written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
    • Proactive
