It is my privilege and honour to welcome international students, international scholars and global partners who drive WUA’s internationalisation agenda at home and abroad.  International students and international scholars are an essential component of higher education which defines the 21st century world of life and work.

By perusing our website, readers are able to see how Women’s University in Africa aims to graduate globally relevant students who are responsive to the evolving trends in higher education as a result of globalisation.  The mission of WUA’s Office of International Programmes and Global Initiatives (OIPGI is “To be a diverse and welcoming learning community that integrates elements of global contexts into teaching, learning, research, innovation, professional practice, and community service.”  As such, our education agenda goals are to promote the recruitment of international students and academic scholars, enhance networking with institutions both domestically and internationally as well as industry, innovators, and multi-faceted partners around the globe.

I welcome you all to our data driven website which will inform your choices in terms of recruitment of undergraduate and post-graduate students, exchange programmes involving students and staff, collaborative and academic exchange opportunities with institutions outside Zimbabwe which may include research partnerships, funding and scholarships, student support services, development of cross cultural partnerships and the development of entrepreneurship, innovation and industrialisation partnerships which are globally relevant for institutional and national transformation and development.

Welcome on board and warm regards,

    Prof Wenceslaus Mudyanadzo

Director, Office of International Programmes and Global Initiatives
