The office of the Ecumenical Chaplain exists primarily to provide pastoral care and serve as a spiritual resource to the WUA community. As a result, the chaplain is a resource to departments and administration, faculty and students to address spiritual needs on both individual and institutional levels.
In regards to pastoral care, the chaplaincy offers support, prayer, consolation, and spiritual guidance to administration, faculty, staff, and students. Also, it provides counseling to students on religious and spiritual matters. Further as Ecumenical Chaplain we plan and coordinate on and off campus spiritual and religious life programmes including weekly spiritual activities. Not only that as Chaplaincy we aim at fostering the development of co- curricular programmes that will assist students in the integration of their faith, confession and religion with their respective academic disciplines. Also, the Ecumenical Chaplain serves as being the liaison officer to churches and religious organizations on behalf of the University and the wider society.
